#JulyWorldbuilders Pretty much every holiday in Theryl has some religious significance. The Festival of the Divines is probably the most renowned, though. It's a day in which all the people of Theryl show their devotion to their respective deities, hoping to earn their patrons' favor.

#JulyWorldbuilders Given that Dhesa is based on a blend of Russia and Germany, I decided to incorporate a lot of German foods into a banquet scene: pork schnitzel, potato dumplings, pot roast, borscht and beef stroganoff, to name a few.

I want to compose music and put on performances that people will remember. I want to bring peace and comfort to everyone who hears me play. I don't need to become famous or go down in history. Just knowing I could share the miracle of sound is enough...

#JulyWorldbuilders Similarly to how Dhesans celebrate Saint Queen Diana's birth on Queensday, the day of her reported death is reserved as a day of mourning. The reigning queen is expected to give a speech honoring all her predecessors, and many place statues of remembrance outside their homes.

I wake early to assist with morning chores, then I attend music lessons with Mister Lebedev in the Landsea Hall. After that, I usually spend a bit of time after class practicing on my own. I'll eat midday meals with other students in my class, and spend some time reading until evening meals.

I simply try to be as the church teaches us we should: kind, humble and devout. I want to do Lady Ure proud with my playing and bring joy to others through the gift of music.

I don't think there are any rumors about me? At least, none that anyone takes seriously. I do recall hearing some of my bandmates once say that Ure herself delivered me to the church steps as an infant, but that's just silly. A goddess would never do something like that, right?

#JulyWorldbuilders Ruxima is most often depicted in paintings and tepestries. Usually these include him alongside his sister, Phela. Probably the most prominent legend about Ruxima is that he helped guide a band of travelers to the location where the city of Urmire would one day be built...

The Holy Church teaches us that there are many important virtues. A person should strive to be kind, humble, brave, righteous and devout. Of course, only true saints ever really manage to achieve all of that at once.

#JulyWorldbuilders Some legends say that when the world of Theryl was still young, there was no day or night. Rather, the light god Yalid bathed the world in his endless radiance. However, he soon noticed that mortals seemed to lack a concept of time, and so concocted a plan.

Drey's absolutely the sort to blunder his way through. Sulfur would be pretty decent at puzzles but doesn't actively seek them out. Adelle could handle simple puzzles but anything on the level of a Rubix Cube would confound her.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but I actually don't know a lot of the legends and stories from the church's scripture. I know the tale of how the Divines created Theryl, of course! But the legends of Seekers and their deeds just never interested me very much.

My greatest fear would be making an embarrassment of myself on stage. One wrong note is all it takes to throw an entire performance into chaos. I pray to Lady Ure that she'll always guide my hands when perform.

#JulyWorldbuilders As with many things in Theryl, the manner of clothing you're expected to wear tends to depend somewhat on the deity you're most affiliated with. Members of Dhesa's church band, for example, will typically wear blue suits or dresses when putting on a grand performance.

I do recall an incident that happened when I was young... I was rehearsing with a few of the other children, but I kept getting out of sync and messing up our practice routines. I was afraid Mister Lebedev would kick me out, but he was very patient with me.

I am so freaking tired today. Dunno why. Feels like I've barely had the energy to get anything productive done. Meh -_-

#JulyWorldbuilders The Archbishop of Dhesa's Holy Church wears a technicolor robe, as well as a special faith pendant shaped like a hendecagon (an eleven-sided shape.) These are meant to symbolize the Archbishop's role as a mediator of the church's different branches.

Fellow authors: Without any context, what's the first line of your current WIP? "Sage Lazzari ran as fast as his legs could carry him." What's he running from? You'll have to wait and find out ;)

Do you mean my style of dress? I typically just wear the ordinary attire the church gives me, though I have special ceremonial robes that I wear when I need to give an important performance... OOC: Melodie does develop her clothing style quite a bit by the end, but I won't say why for spoilers...

#JulyWorldbuilders Naturally, people in Dhesa tend to wear thicker or more covering outfits due to the cooler climate. Though not as intense as the heavy furs common in Hyo, Dhesan fashion generally tends to be geared towards warmth even in the summer months, and far more-so once winter arrives.

My proudest moment... I suppose that's being chosen to perform Queen Ermengard's funeral dirge. I still can't believe someone like me was given such an important task. Honestly, it's a little terrifying... But I also want nothing more than to live up to the Archbishop's expectations!

#JulyWorldbuilders In Dhesa, clothes tend to be made mostly of wool, leather, or cloth. Jewelry is mostly made of silver (such as the faith pendants), but many nobles like to incorporate jewelry into rings or earrings.

I think that would be the day Miser Lebedev, my music instructor, recommended me for band practice. He caught me tapping my fingers to the rhythm of the music in the morning choir. Despite my inability to speak, Mister Lebedev insisted that I had a knack for rhythm and encouraged me to audition.
