Your voice was much nicer there, ominous furred figures of the #HorrorWritersChat, but alright. It depends on the story how painful, or complete, but it is a loss of everything they were. Their fear, their anxiety but also their humanity and often their sanity are likely sacrificed for a new self.

Oh, now this is cozy. Thank you, #HorrorWritersChat. Mine become a horror themselves, typically, finding comfort and belonging in embracing the other. Sometimes they don't mean to, or want to, but they're going to be something else by the end whether they like it or not.

I did not know we were wearing furs for this one, #HorrorWritersChat, and here I am in a cup, a shamed sad monster what writes disturbing fiction and would be horrified to lose her whimsy. It took a lot of work to achieve it, you will have to pry it from my teeth.

Stepped on my own foot and broke it. Not with the other foot either. I somehow curled my foot in and stepped like normal. Broke itty bitty bones and had to wear big ugly shoe for a while. The technicians who took the x-rays were way too amused, Apparently I am a special kind of klutz.

Well, the thing I wasn't supposed to write is now 7k words long with no signs of stopping anytime soon.

My mother read a scene of incestuous tree rape. She read horrific child deaths and their caretaker being devoured by hungry shadows. And she kept reading, is excited to read more.

My mom read my book until 2am. She couldn't put it down and only stopped because she had to sleep. She absolutely loves it, even the really fucked up parts. ...this is a weird feeling. I don't know what to do with this feeling.
