More imperative than ever: don’t cross picket lines

If you've, at any point, said you support trans people and our right to exist, great, now is when you put your money where your damn mouth it. Support our fundraisers. Give us jobs. Hire trans writers. Trans artists. Defend us when we're attacked. It's not hypothetical anymore, don't be a coward.

TLDR: There is nothing enforceable for the immediate future. It will take months or years to implement this via rulemaking or bureaucratic changes which are then subject to legal challenge. While it's worrying, there's no immediate change yet for most trans people. Do not comply in advance.

It will be easy to fall into a pattern of dunking & reacting in these times. Performing disapproval can be a consuming pastime & it is not enough. Refuse to abandon vulnerable people. Build a rebellious culture of care. If you need help, @prisonculture.bsky.social and I wrote a book to assist you.

I have 95 pages left in my 153rd book of the year. I completed my masters degree. I wrote more than any year before. I acted my ass off in some APs that I’m incredibly proud of. How ever I feel about 2024 I’m damn proud of the creative I’ve become.
