When/if this goes through: there is a massive network outage of some kind affecting my area. My internet has been out since 11, and even my phone is now only connecting to data intermittently. If you're trying to reach me and I don't reply, it's because I can't due to having no way to connect.

I've had a steady slump in income over the course of this year. No new subscribers in months, usually at least a few dropping each month. Very few commissions. And yet, at no point in any of that, have I been even slightly tempted to return to Twitter/X. The temptation genuinely is not there.

I have said before: piracy is rarely about price. It's about ACCESS. People take the path of least resistance to get the media they want. If you make it so that "pay for it" IS the path of least resistance, people won't pirate it. But until "buy it legally" is the easiest way to own it, yo ho ho.

I'm not at Anthrocon, but I'm worried about it. In this kind of heat, I imagine even a lot of the people who normally know their limits are going to push themselves too far. Anthrocon really should move the fursuit parade indoors; it's irresponsible to have it outside in this kind of heat.
