For the uninitiated, Mr Hopoate is a former Tongan-Australian rugby league player and trouble magnet who was once banned for 12 matches for sticking his finger up the arses of three opposition players. He claimed he was giving them wedgies. So you can see what the Aussie Daily Telegraph did there.

I will continue to plant my flag in the "a PM with 3 years and 400 seats isn't going early" hill. Yes, things look set to get worse. I don't see how dealing with a worse context is easier if you've got a hung parl or a narrow majority and backbenchers angry many of their colleagues lost seats.

This isn't an unreasonable preconception, because criminals (or their family members) don't usually call the police and ask them to attend the scene of the crime they just committed, unless it's to turn themselves in

First, the killer's brother called the police and alleged the victim had committed a crime. He didn't say the victim was injured and denied weapons were involved. This means the police arrive with a preconception of who the victim is and they're not expecting injuries inflicted by a deadly weapon
