In the past few days, I've been constantly struck by people in the #ttrpg community being unprofessional and small-minded. I got told off, as a person of color, that by merely talking about slavery, I'm tacitly approving 'certain people'.

Listen, folks, I don't care what you do in the long run but try to be a tiny bit cognizant. If you offer feedback, talk about the work, not the person. If you want to rant, say so that is a rant not a statement of intent. For fucks sake, if you don't know the person, don't tell them how to live.

My vampire game will have a focus on the vampire condition. First of all, the Vampires (PCs) have just woken up from their slumber that lasted centuries. The world is very different. They need to cope with that. They also need to reclaim lost memories, because they groggy AF. 1/

I've been toying with some name ideas for my vampire game, nothing that instantly sticks though. Browsing through a thesaurus and picking words to smash together. I just hate the idea of calling it my "unnamed vampire game" for all eternity. Ooh, now I'm adding "eternity" to my word list.

Haven't done much for my unnamed vampire game idea since Sunday so here's a stray thought: Skills are rated 0-2; 0 is "untrained" and 2 is highest mastery. Each rank adds +1D6 to your dice pool, but rank 2 also means you earn experties in that Skill (a bonus ability or an effect)

A short introduction and 16 powers later, I think it's time for a break 😅

All right, setting is done enough, at least for 1st draft, so I think I'll start writing down some vampire powers today. I'm going to start with vamp's natural abilities and work from there. Vamps have good senses, for example, but powers can still super enhance them.

First draft of the Mortlands is shaping up rather nicely. The Solar Faith is the largest and powerful religion, and they say they banished the Vampires centuries ago. ...only, the Vampires have no memories of the religion existing back then, so what's the deal? 🤷‍♂️

I spent most of the last 2 hours writing down setting stuff for my unnamed vampire game, and I had almost forgotten how good writing feels. I also have a fair bit of the setting down 👍 I have stuff to do today but I hope to get more writing done 😁

In my vampire game (assuming I finish it) will have vampires as more corpse-like beings (think nosferatu) with a dreadful aura. It'll be more about surviving as a vampire in a world that wants you dead and is actively hostile towards you. It'll be sure to include angry mobs
