There is something to be said for the degree to which I feel a little chewed up and spat out by the ttrpg industry, to the point that starting a job where I’m going to be working with people during one of the most tender, vulnerable, and raw times of life feels like something much easier to face.

idk y'all, I think people should be able to eat for free no matter whether they work or are "productive" or a "good person." I think good food is a universal human right and we should be giving to everyone for free, especially people who can't afford it.

I know or am familiar with a lot of people in the tabletop rpg space. The people I trust in the space are far fewer in number. Every hobby, art form, or group has issues, but I’ve watched these particular issues play out from a distance and up close over many years and the patterns are depressing.

The audacity to anthropomorphize machines being built by corporations --stealing data --exploiting the labor of the people who are actually the "undesirables" under eugenic thought --killing the environment, and then compare criticisms of such eugenic practices to, wait for it, eugenics.
