Speed cameras remove racist and violent cops from enforcement of speeding, and interlocks prevent multiple offenses - or crashes - that lead to jail time.

Cassian Andor is clearly the protagonist of the story Rogue One wants to tell — and that was clear even before the series — but what we have instead is a movie where the ostensible “protagonist” floats through the wind taking no actions and making no real choices.

rogue one is bad folks. i have believed this since i saw it in theaters and no subsequent rewatch has changed my mind. basically a chop job until the final sequence, which is good (for star wars)

Also Episode 8 is the best in the series largely because @rianjohnson.bsky.social is the best director to ever helm a Star Wars movie. Consistently funny and tight, and the warp speed sacrifice is the best shot I’ve ever seen in a Hollywood blockbuster.
