Good. Way too many people give E33 a pass on their use of genAI for no reason. It's been annoying seeing people trash Larian on the way they plan to use genAI in Divinity development and then next praise E33 despite Sandfall doing the exact same thing

Gonna be real, you dont need AI at all. Not with references, not with ideas, not to help you brainstorm, nothin. Not in games and especially NOT animation. You dont need an ass-pat machine to help you and your brain. Ask someone who you trust to give you proper feedback without crushing you.

Develop “concept art”?? 💀 💀 💀 All the image models solely rely on stolen work of countless of artists to function at capacity. Using them not only is deeply unethical but puts the company at risk. Not worth it and I truly hope ( hell, I’m begging) that they reconsider 😭

At SNL I worked with artists who made the funniest, stupidest graphics in no time flat. Some of my biggest jokes would have been impossible without these geniuses building an insane image or finding the perfect real-life photo of a politician. Sucks that their work is being pushed aside for slop.

Clair Obscur winning GOTY shows that people will stop caring about genAI in games as soon as it's in a game they actually like. You can't rail against ARC Raiders and Where Winds Meet and then turn around with Clair Obscur and go "well actually..."

Really interesting and good game despite the dumb bullshit it uses. But The Game Awards goes out of its way to reward devs who dabble in it and its BECAUSE they use it. We arent being angry enough and we arent punishing corporate enterprises for it. And they pay attention to that.

Ex33 would've been on my top ten and PROBABLY would've been GoTY for me. But as soon as I realized how it used GenAi as placeholders, my opinion of it soured immensely. Still gets awards yet other games that had immaculate art direction w/o the help of the ass-pat plagiarism machine didnt win 🤔
