Rowend Hunter is on sale for 99Β’ (ebook) on Amazon for a week:
www.amazon.com/dp/B0FPGH6Z71
It's a love story, and it's a journey story, though they don't know where to or how to get there. No royals, no swords, no made up words. A sequel is coming this Fall.

I like to think of brunch as the purest form of anarchy. Want a burger between 2 waffles? Go for it. Scrambled eggs on a brownie? Heck yeah! Toss some onion rings in those Froot Loops, you are ungovernable. For 90 glorious minutes, all rules of polite society have been suspended.

I spoke your true name. It's not what I thought it would be. And I don't feel easy about it. As if I'd left something unfinished. But it is your name. If it betrays you, then that's the truth of it.

I wrote the first words of book 3 in the series. I'm terrified about living up to the standard I set for myself, but I will make this and every other book in the series exist if it kills me.

Sam watching helplessly as Frodo starts to identify with Gollum, a weird, transparently insane bald freak in a diaper who eats live birds and mutters about murdering Sam and Frodo all the time, was a mood without a strong modern parallel until people started falling for AI.

I also think there's plenty of Great Literature that's also genre/trash/smut and those are some of my favorites. Will always be grateful to my mom for telling me Macbeth as a bedtime story as a kid so that when I finally encountered the play I was, like, ooooooh, the one with blood!

I wanted my book to exist and so I wrote it and if I do that three to four more times I will have a whole series and I am so excited about that. The arc from my first writing ("Can I write a book?") to here ("Okay, but how about a REALLY GOOD book?") makes me so proud of myself omg.

As cost of living increases, as wages stagnate, as housing becomes more precarious, it becomes harder and harder to be able to spend all your time doing weird shit. Whole ecosystems reliant on people doing weird shit, dry up as their habitat is burned for a billionaire's profit.

Today's programmers? They were raised by finance grifters. They would sit there for 5 hours manually doing a bullshit task that 5 minutes in a terminal would automate away forever. They seize on LLM's because they never learned awk. Awk has been around since 1977.

That's how you can tell human authors from AI. AI will put in some em dashes, then apologise and take them out when told off. Human authors will climb the filing cabinet, hissing, and defend their right to em dashes with a loaded stapler.
add a skeleton here at some point
