It's worse than the headline - Cubic didn't even know about its multiple AT&T accounts so didn't pay for one, which led to major Clipper outages at BART. Nearly every month there's another Clipper 2 failure. Cubic should be paying MTC and transit operators significantly for the rollout debacle.

The choice is clear. A status quo that has let ICE run rampant in our streets and fought against Angelenos. A right wing extremist who would openly court ICE to invade our city. And our plan to protect immigrants and make LA the strongest sanctuary city in the country. Choose on June 2nd.

CARB has been a repeat villain in quiet wonky policy choices that actually have big consequences for pollution and getting things done in California. Two prior examples: - Dis-incentivizing electric trolly-buses - Pushing hydrogen/battery train incentives (a scam) over proven electrified trains

For those following along at home, CARB’s vote today essentially guts the greenhouse gas reduction fund and eviscerates the state’s largest sources of funding for affordable housing and public transit. At a time when we should be doubling down on them, we’re pulling away.

The thing about the US is that we can’t even build a single high-speed rail line and the department of transportation of the largest, wealthiest state wants to waste people’s time by studying a fake mode of transportation. These two facts are related.
