This is what I can’t get over. Democrats helped secure more funding for ICE. They didn’t work to block the massive increase that DHS got.

By simply switching from combustion engines to electricity, the energy demand falls to 50% to achieve amount of work. This is the reason why trains are electric today: When trains used coal, the energy efficiency was only 4%. Now, it's 40%. There is no economic incentive to invest in fossil fuels.

The car led to oil. Oil led to the US dominance of the world with WWII. The dollar became the standard for oil markets. War is used to force dollar usage. The car dependence on oil maintains its value, the US is dependent on the car. It’s the Ouroboros feeding itself on its own blood and oil.

The simplest way for everyone in the US to protest this imperial action is to stop using oil. Ride your bike for all short trips, switch to an EV, car pool to use less. It also saves you money. I started using my bike for everything in the early 2000’s to divorce myself from the Iraq oil war.

Chevron donated to Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration fund. Chevron’s CEO publicly praised trump’s energy agenda. Chevron donations: 94% Republican, 6% Democrat. Chevron is the ONLY foreign oil company allowed to operate in Venezuela. Follow the money.

I stopped speaking with some people in my life because they showed themselves to not care about those impacted by Trump’s policies. To a tee, all of them always said Trump was anti-war, that’s why they trusted him. Sadly I’m sure they will have some way to reconcile this. “Just a police action.”

There was this person on Twitter (before The Fall), a traffic engineer, that used to argue against infrastructure like this, because drivers shouldn’t potentially be killed for a “mistake”. I think we need to make driving as hazardous as possible to the drivers to help make them slow down.

Mom has been zero added sugar kick and she’s so much healthier for it. She made two pies, no raw sugar used. A Concord Grape pie with very sweet grapes! And an Apple with Dates and Raisins to make it sweeter. Both were really good, and the fruit and other flavors were much more pronounced.

As a bike safety advocate, i came to better understand how we can’t have safer streets without addressing housing costs (i.e. build more) and increasing transit. Without the other two people will end up living far away, not have access to transit, and then be forced to drive making streets unsafe.

I don’t know how I missed this, but every tech person should get this instinctively. What do we do when network traffic is overwhelming our systems? We block the source. Shouldn’t cities do the same?

When Telegraph designs were coming up, I was very much against dedicated bus lanes *unless* they could find a way to reduce the speeding abuses seen on International. Speed cushions that impact cars, not buses, & delineators that keep cars out. This is the minimum needed. Too many died for this.

I finally had a chance to watch Halo, and I gotta say, it kinda captured the Star Wars ethos of the original movie in a way that many of the Star Wars films never quite achieved after, maybe Force Awakens. Anyway awesome show, I hope they make another season.
