Was there ever any clarity given to what constitutes a major transit stop having a "bus intersection." Is that intersection perpendicular? Or like two lines at a stop? Or both?

My immediate SB 79 fixer would be to scrap the Tier 2 bus lane provision that frequent bus lines must be in bus only lanes. Bus lanes enhance already good bus service, but its cheap infrastructure, its not really capacity related. 15 min lines should be rezoned irrespective of paint on the ground.

Glad to have changed a mind! TBH in most urban areas, SB 79 will look more like Middle Housing than highrises. The density limits dont lend themselves to giant projects on typical urban parcels

SB 79 upzones 24-hour bus only lanes with 15 minute frequency or less. Only paragraph 1. So it looks like this one-directional Alameda bus lane on Webster from Stargell to Atlantic counts. No others in Alameda, right?
