I come from the crypto/cypherpunk/web3 adjacent worlds. In 2023 I was 10 years in those ecosystems. From those learnings I knew atproto had all the right uses of cryptography with none of the things people grew to hate. A “marketplace of algorithms“ and “choice of moderator” were sea changes

Abolish the legal gender marker entirely. No government can be trusted to have a database of which people have changed theirs, no government has any business tracking what your gender is "supposed" to be in the first place.
