my favorite thing writers do is when they have a character who's an academic and is also incredibly venal + hypocritical + self-serving. Get. Their. Ass.

there's a substack making the rounds that's a philosopher whining he can't understand butler, and i always love when this perennial pout returns because it makes me feel smart for reading gender trouble by myself without struggle

the lesson of these leaks is america's elite consists of three kinds of people 1. pedophiles 2. enthusiastic friends of pedophiles 3. people who maybe personally disapprove but are okay hanging with pedophiles for career reasons

Just saw the terrible news that US Bishops just banned gender affirming care at Catholic hospitals. A reminder, from the reproductive justice front - For a lot of people, Catholic hospitals are their only option. Even places where they aren't, they sometimes set standard of care.

honestly it's beast mode to get your account suspended for threatening to shoot someone* then complain to your friends about it so they raise a fuss but not tell them about the threatening to shoot someone part and let them think it was for no reason * as a joke, yes yes we know

pretty crazy this website won't let you threaten to shoot people with a gun but they will completely dismiss you when you raise the concern of daddy's cock transforming into a huge and wide tentacle, which we all know is ready for your deepest pleasures!

i've learned that there's a contingent of people who give frankenstein's creature the fan name "adam", and even setting aside the literary point of it being nameless, if you're talking about the del toro film and want a bible allusion then the symbolism makes it very clear the creature is jesus

i have not watched GDT's Frankenstein but i am firm in my belief that it needs a tie-in adventure/fighting game like the 90s Kenneth Branagh one did on the Sega CD. and they need to keep in elizabeth's roll attack

this should be a surprise to no one, and if you were myopically focused on an nonactualized threat to same-sex marriage over the already happening attacks on queer—especially trans!—people then you should rethink what you're doing
