Took my son out west to eat mac & cheese next to a train car this evening. We watched a real train roll through town at sunset together. On the drive home he talked about seeing the cars and ice huts on the lake, and we slowed for a pair of deer to cross the road in front of us.

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

It may not have the hot clang of the Book of Revelation, but when the Danes are selling your bonds it has not been a good day.

Do folks outside of MN realize this includes suburban cities? The door dasher, the person dragged out of Target, this isn’t a thing you can avoid in the Twin Cities region just by avoiding a certain neighborhood. It’s an infestation and the roaches are everywhere.

Not an exaggeration at all to say that the feeling in Minneapolis is that the entire metro area is being treated as occupied territory by federal agents. Impossible to overstate how overwhelmingly people here do not like it. This does not feel sustainable.
