Seriously, to protect yourself from what’s happening here: block Willy Stencil. Do it now. ASAP. Stop engaging, and BLOCK don’t mute, don’t let him see you.

It makes me so angry that baldur’s gate won every single game of the year award in existence, but if it had been an indie game it would not have been allowed on the any storefront or funding platforms.

While Stripe and its anti-porn CEOs are to blame, kickstarter needs to be forced to walk this back. If you have time, submit a ticket to them below. All you need is an email. With enough backlash, we MIGHT get them to reconsider. We never know till we try

Okay, hang on Aaron. When users identify a patten of moderation decisions that have a disproportionate effect on a marginalized community, or disproportionately target that community, an objection can be raised as to the neutrality of the moderation infrastructure.

Kickstarter officially banning adult content now. Knew this was coming, but it still sucks to have yet another part of the internet that I've been explicitly evicted from. Digital gentrification is exhausting.

tl;dr: - aaron rodericks name searches and finds someone making fun of him for something he did in fact do - aaron enters a given number of strikes based on how mad that makes him - when too many people get banned they silently raise the number of strikes needed to get banned

Discourse about finding "the Rogan of the Left" or "the liberal answer to Fox News" rarely accounts for the reality that the entire conservative media universe is the enormously unprofitable vanity project of a few rich sociopaths. It "succeeds" because they don't care how much it costs.

One reason Republicans are banning books and classes on race is because reading even one book about Jim Crow or Reconstruction makes it clear that they are hoping to reinstate segregation.

Much like I say normal libs cannot allow themselves to imagine a better world, Dem politicians cannot allow themselves to state plainly what the problem is. "You are getting fucked." They can dance around it but they can't name the villains, and there are villains, because they want their money.

Someone tell me if "moderation publicly taking sides in random niche discourse and banning everyone on the side they don't like" is good for the health of a social media website.

Absolutely, part of what we’re seeing is an anti-woke coalition that won, they beat back the organizers and activists pushing for radical change but they have to pretend they didn’t dictate the strategy of the last campaign and the party overall.
