18th October 2017: Less than 10 years ago there was broad, cross party support for trans people just living their lives. This bigotry at the highest level has been astroturfed into existence in less than a decade. It's a lie. A con.

The Labour Party is institutionally transphobic, it is an outright enemy of the UK's LGBT community, and none of us should even consider giving it our vote for a second so long as that remains the case.

The question to ask when looking at a crowdfunding proposition is this: Why aren't established VC investors jumping on the opportunity? Why has the company gone to the crowd? The answers are invariably: It's a terrible fucking opportunity. The company is desperate (to reel in suckers). 1/2

The mental gymnastics I'm seeing people go through to explain why they're covering the Harry Potter show... Your argument is it brings people joy? Other things bring people joy. Hundreds worked on it? Hundreds also work on other things. Just say you value your own happiness over trans lives.

This is recreation, not restoration. An appalling prospect. Easy enough to make errors with existing restoration tools. Excessive grain and dirt removal loses actual detail. Grading corrections without context turn day-for-night scenes back to day. GenAI 'fixes' will be so much worse.

With the HP trailer dropping tomorrow, here's the whole deal: If you watch the show, hell even just the trailer, I will think less of you. I will dislike you. I will think you don't care about trans people. That's it. It's been years. There's no wiggle room. No qualifiers. You care or you don't.

I am one of the most published academics on the childhood social transition, with 5 peer reviewed articles that relate to the topic. There is so much evidence of benefit of social transition. There is no evidence of harm. Not one jot. This will literally kill trans kids. No exaggeration.

Support every trans, non-binary or questioning person you know. Speak out for those you donβt. Vote for politicians who want to expand humanity, not shrink it. And for godβs sake, stop buying Harry Potter or the works of those who want to ruin the lives of our loved ones out of their own ignorance.

I'm somewhat tired of pretending that trans women using women's changing rooms and bathrooms has ever been a problem, as entire legal systems contradict their own precedent specifically to deny trans women dignity and serve up sacrifices to gender-conservatives and bigoted religious groups.

Found something on University Challenge this week that irritated me more than people saying they're "doing" something. A team member wearing a knitted Whaam! jumper. Roy Lichtenstein was a plagiarist and a thief, and the sooner he and his 'art' disappears from view, the better.

My reckon is that it's a societal good to celebrate the deaths and downfalls of terrible people. Shame is a powerful motivator. If people cannot find goodness within themselves, there is a solid chance that they will come to it by seeing people, en masse, refusing to shed a tear for the cruel.

Insane take from James Titcomb and James Warrington, as they compare banning a site that creates and distributes CSAM with *checks notes* repressive state censorship. Genuinely hard to believe the Telegraph published this 'deepfake CSAM is a freedom of speech issue' gibberish.

I am extremely confused as to why the UK government and police are saying Grokβs mass-scale CSAM generation is an issue for Ofcom. This isnβt about X failing to moderate CSAM, which is an Online Safety Act issue. It is about the company and its technology being actively involved in its generation.

Watched Johnnie To's RUNNING ON KARMA today, the first time I've been able to watch it on something other than a shitty VCD. Honestly never thought it would get a UK Blu-ray release because it's such a strange film. If you don't know much about how karma works, you're going to be so confused. 1/3

The video in the thread redacts the images, mercifully. But you can see from the prompts what is happening. This is obscene, vicious and intolerable. X and Grok should be shut down until this grotesque harassment can be stopped. Those responsible should face the full force of the law.

Let's not forget that it wasn't so long ago that this happened. Had a file on her phone, didn't view it, but still prosecuted. If you're still using X, just don't. Wipe your account. Delete the app. Put clear water between yourself and the CSAM-producing machine.
