I remember this so well... As the final seconds of a brilliantly funny comedy series, it was shockingly effective. You'd come to 'know' the characters. Nothing could have emphasised the pointless tragedy of it all more effectively. It was a piece of genius.

I've got the Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph. I'm not really feeling it. I have so little (if any) respect for our political leaders now. Liz Truss was there - if she lives to the age of 96 she will have spent more days at the Cenotaph than in Downing Street.

Today we remember all who served, including the Commonwealth soldiers whose sacrifice is too often forgotten. They gave their tomorrows so we could have our todays. May we honour them not only in words, but in our work for a world without war.

What is it about student accommodation? It's an investment worth buying up City Centre blocks, earns rent from overseas students,yet it's not liable to Council Tax. It stands empty during vacations, yet it's far too good for homeless families.

I retired 12 years ago. I took over a school 3 years ago that needed some serious help and sorted it out. I still support parents/carers in navigating the SEND education system. Always happy to speak to parents/carers experiencing difficulties. 😉🙂
