Mrs. M is making three baguettes. She started the process 48 hours ago. It's real bread & the procedures her online French baker gives must be followed to the letter. I'm sure will be delightful. I have mentioned that we have frozen supermarket baguettes & ciabattas. She told me to shut up! 🤷‍♂️

This is the globe Mrs. M gave me today. British made by traditional methods. Paper with the mountain ranges in relief so I can be touchy & feely if I want! The last one I had was as a kid in Oz. It was tin!

Cooking me own burfdee scran. She's bathing!! Roast corn fed free range chook smeared in home made wild garlic pesto. Will throw in Jersey Royals, patriotic British King Asparagus, whole garlic cloves, shallots, red pepper & some courgette halfway through the byrd roast. Cheers Possums!! 🍷

Mrs. M is as happy as a pig in poo! Using, for the first time, the birthday pressie I gave her last week to make bread.

It's raining, it's 12c aka 53.6f, it's cold, windy and miserable! Fed up!

Youngest works part time (doing his Masters!!) at a boarding kennels on farmland, 40 mins drive north of Amsterdam. They have 100s of mutts at any one time and they seem to be let loose in large free range fields which is quite bonkers. He sent me this birthday greeting from some of them today! 😱

After the tests & checks over the last few weeks at Moorfields I have been selected to go on the 5yr gene therapy trial for macular degeneration. There are 3 UK groups of high dose gene, low dose or no dose. No dose means continuing with regular eye injections. No sure if I'm pleased or not. 🤷‍♂️

After the swings grandson went to visit his favourite beasties in the village! We didn't get to ellie track online as he slept so long after his post sheep lunch it was time to head for his home & folks.

Grandson gave me, via his olds, a cuddly ellie on Sunday. An early b'day pressie. Odd? Maybe not. There is a QR code on one ear which will allow me to "track" my adopted African on its wanderings. Soon g'son & I will try to set it up but expect his Amma will have to help us blokes with the tech🤷‍♂️!🐘

UPDATE: Only one Weetabix today followed by some Vegemite toast for grandson this morning for his 2nd breakfast. Read the Gruffalo and now gone out in the buggy to post a letter and perhaps hit the swings. Only 5 and a half hours to go!!
