Raising a glass to Christopher H Bidmead, who brought big ideas and magic moments to Doctor Who, and commissioned writers like Christopher Bailey, @andr3wsmith.bsky.social and @stephengallagher.co.uk. A playfully cantankerous persona never quite masked a deep intelligence and a kind, generous soul.

Sad news. We were big fans of Christopher Hamilton Bidmead and his button down approach to Doctor Who. He even critiqued our Miniscope of him in 2012. A skeptic till the end. Sunday’s episode has already been recorded, so we’ll properly pay tribute to Mr. Bidmead the week after.
