I don't think he's a journalist; I think he's a literature postdoc? In any case, the whole review reads like an overheated term paper. It would make a good exercise for an advanced undergrad class to go through it & evaluate the arguments from a methods lens. Although....

This reviewer is a perfect illustration of a person with good intentions, who I probably agree with on a ton of things, who starts from the premise that "it is bad if things are partially heritable, so they cannot be" and then works from there. Acknowledging genetics is not endorsing eugenics!
