Singer, fool. Ran away from Brexit to Berlin. Quite loud.
I love long flights for watching films I would otherwise never see/catching up. Today's line-up was a possible GOAT: Luther: Never Too Much, Sinners & But I'm A Cheerleader. All solid gold.

BER Brandenburg still remains bottom of my list of airports. It took nearly 15 mins TO GET OFF THE TRAIN PLATFORM. now I have been queuing for nearly 20 mins even though I checked in online and I only need to drop a bag.i have maybe got through 1/3 of the queue.

A final beer... Or so. Bamberg is as pretty as every clickbait headline suggests, and Bamberger Zwiebeln are insanely delicious. So happy to hit the smoked beer I adore.

Took my one chance to get to a cinema to watch The Ballad of Wallis Island today, so only now catching up with the tennis. I am feeling many feelings about the film, still.

It's so hot in Toronto that an older man crossing the street beside me just said, with a level of sarcasm even I found impressive, "If I die of heat stroke halfway across the road will you drag my corpse to the other side? My family will wanna identify me" and we are now best, albeit sweaty, friends

RIP Brian Wilson. He wrote so many good songs, many of them in the 1970s, when he seemed irreparably damaged. Even at his most ragged, he was capable of transcending his circumstances.

I don't know if Stansted or Ryanair is at fault, but pulling "boarding" and making everyone wait on a sweaty staircase when there isn't even a plane yet is not cool.

I have to catch a train in the morning before I am usually awake. How close to the wire will my adhd brain force me to get? Why can't I just merrily get up with my alarm?

Not at my musical hero's funeral today, but I will be at a service for him in London on Friday. Distracting myself with a coaching, because after all his training, and all these years, I really do sing for a living.

Damn, this was impressive. I'm kind of envious someone has the motivation to put something like this together. So much research, planning and editing just to create a video (that presumably can't even be monitized due to copyright). But hey, I got enjoyment from it. And that's priceless.

Congratulations to Bruce. Obviously disappointed. We heard again and again from voters that the Green vision resonated with them, but that I ‘didn’t seem to know my party’s policies’ and ‘hadn’t been to Canada since 2021’.

Rachel Reeves is right that the world has changed - so why won’t she change her strategy to reflect it? Rigid adherence to arbitrary fiscal rules & refusing wealth taxes is a political choice that’s causing huge pain & harm, as well as laying out the welcome mat for the populists at Reform UK

The argument that “free speech” is somehow philosophically foundational to tech bros is just a way of saying “if we put any limits at all on horrible people, they’ll only go elsewhere, and then someone else will get a slice of all that lovely horrible people money.”

As a nervous writer I came down from Glasgow to shadow Radio Comedy for a week.I was put in the hands of a funny, smart and idiosyncratic producer who was generous with his time, wise in his advice and very happy to show me the ropes. They were extremely good ropes because the producer was Bill Dare.
