Shit man. Part of me thinks Chad Smith is wasted in the Chilli Peppers, but the other half of me thinks "fuck, he's a millionaire, plays stadiums and has an easy life, and I'd take that myself". But he's pretty good behind the kit when he gets the chance.

Checking this out as I've had it on my watchlist for a while. Mostly because if I was making a film called UNHINGED then Russell Crowe would be the first person I'd think of. (Well, maybe Jared Leto, but I only want an actor who can believability act it, not live it)

Went to see TAILGUNNER supporting Fozzy last night. Tailgunner were great and felt like they should be in much bigger venues than this. It was a Fozzy headline show though so I stayed for a few of their tracks out of curiosity, but I didn't stay for longer. They were surprisingly popular though.

The Matrix, which at the time in the UK was mostly in the news because it has been bizarrely linked to the Columbine shooting (the kids wore trench coats and they had those in this film, so obviously it's the films fault) and I discovered it was actually amazing. The lobby scene blew me away.

It's fine. But I'll take a mid, generic, original horror over another Avatar or IP sequel any day. And if this generic horror spawns a sequel in the same way the generic horror Smile did then we're laughing.

Up in London for a work thing tomorrow. Was going to try for the PCC Mystery Movie but didn't book a ticket as I wasn't sure I'd be here in time, and it sold out. So opted for WHISTLE at the Vue instead. I hope the Mystery Movie is shit. (Well, more I hope it's something I've seen myself recently).

It's strange how most of your male friends & colleagues still lose their hair, and yet no man on TV, cinema or the music industry does anymore. Isn't that weird... No widows peaks, bald spots or anything. If I could be arsed I'd investigate who the last male celeb was to become bald. Sam Jackson?

For the first time in a while, my last 4 watched are all 4* bangers. And it'll only get better, because later today I'm introducing my daughter to the 5* comedy masterpiece that is Tommy Boy.

Discovered a new band today, TAILGUNNER. Great to see that theres still folks hearing Iron Maiden in the 2020s and thinking "fuck yeah, let's do some of that". Dual guitars, bitchin solo's, studs & leather. I'll keep an eye out for them touring. They're UK so hopefully I'll catch them soon.

I remember reading many years ago that if you want to be an interesting person then you should become passionate about a particular thing, and be the person that other people come to if they want to know about that thing. I'm pretty sure this video is a great example of that.

Watching old MOTORHEAD gig footage, because it never gets old. Still miss Lemmy, but glad I got to see him with the band many times over the years.

I'd rather UHT milk have the Milk name removed. That stuff is far more offensive because it actually pretends to be dairy-milk, and not the liquid plastic garbage it actually is.

I can happily watch boxing, MMA and all sorts of painful sports, but I turn on the Winter Olympics and see it's the moguls skiing and my knees just wince and I have to watch something else.

Finished THE EXIT 8 this morning, although I'm pretty sure some routes I took were just on vibes, rather than actually spotting abnormalities. However, having finished it and read up on the abnormalities I think I identified all but 1 of them so it can't have just been vibes. Fun, short game.

I'm going to be in London on Tuesday 17th evening and I see that Prince Charles Cinema has a mystery movie at 8:15pm. Have any of my mutuals been to one of those showings? Tend to get a good crowd?

New MAYHEM album is fantastic, if you like that kind of thing. Pity I've not been paying attention, because they're playing in London tomorrow and if I'd known I would've tried to go along. I've hardly seen any old school black metal bands live. Attila's operatically evil vocals are still superb.

Whenever I watch a Superbowl halftime show it makes me think about how much trouble people would get into from the groundskeeper for just thinking about putting a single foot onto a Premier League pitch, even 5 days away from a match, yet these folks are stamping all over theirs at half time.

Went to see SEND HELP. It's good fun, but I think because it's Raimi it's also a little disappointing. I wonder what people who haven't seen a Raimi film before thinks about it?

Having a chill morning with a cuppa while reading some conspiracy theories that Epstein is still alive, because his Fortnite account was still active and has been buying V-Bucks. Which, as far as Epstein conspiracies go is at least a fun one.

Friday nights are for watching 2.5hr Korean movies that you know nothing about other than a) it's apparently good, and b) I shouldn't read up about it before watching it. So I'm doing that.

One of the best places to listen to music is when you're sat on a train for an hour or so with decent headphones and nothing else you need to be doing. Which is what I'm doing right now, with possibly my favourite album of 2025.

Damn I loved that D&D movie 'Honor Among Thieves'. I was one who actually went to the cinema to see it too, so I can't even be blamed for not giving it a try.

Damn, I loved every single second of this. All recorded into the one mic? Everyone with smiles on their faces as they rattle through this performance. And they make it all look effortless too. Bluegrass is great too. Just such happy music. It's impossible to play the blues if you're on a banjo.

This could be the greatest drug cheating story of all time.

Looking for some light-hearted documentary viewing tonight. Probably going to give this one a miss...

A solid entry into the 'look how many famous people are in this movie' genre of movie poster. Looking forward to this one. No idea how a sequel to the first could work, but I'm interested to find out. Mostly because Samara is back for it.

We keep trying to make things like this work in the UK, and we keep failing. But I'll hope for the best, and if things go well it means we have some much needed new comedy faces on our TV, which is a good thing. I just pray it's actually funny and not just SNL funny (i.e. 1 hit to every 20 misses)

I've had a few decades existing in the world, but still can’t tell where "West" is without a struggle. Every time I have to pause a few seconds, picture a compass in front of me and say "North, East, South, West" to myself. I even physically point to the imaginary nodes on this compass. Every time.

It's an old clip, but I just saw it again and it made me smile. Alec Guinness talking about how he got the extra 0.25% (or was it 0.5%) on top of his 2% Star Wars deal. Turned out pretty well for him.
