F-ing depraved. The IDF edited a photo of the journalist they assassinated and made it look like he was wearing a Hezbollah uniform. They explicitly state that it is legal in Israel to murder journalists. The entire Israeli state is a criminal enterprise.

In practice, schools got told they stopped taking applications last week. This creates absolute chaos for all the students that were in the specialized course designed for this visa category. For the most part they have no option whatsoever but to go home. I’m appalled.

ほんまですねー。 因みに「太陽も照らず、風も吹かなかったら」というのは曇天無風(デュンケルフラウテ)問題と言われ、10年以上前から議論があるものです。国際議論では、将来問題が発生するかもしれない再エネの課題に10年以上前からきちんと向き合い、問題が発生する前に解決策が提案されています (ダックカーブ問題や慣性問題も)。 風力・太陽光・EVに対しては、解決策が提案されているのにあたかも解決不能なように大きく喧伝される一方、化石燃料や原子力の不可逆的な深刻なリスクに対しては意図的に無視されるという非対称な議論が続いています。 このダブスタ構造があることを多くの方に知って頂きたいと思います。

You can see why the exo-zodiacal light becomes an issue in imaging exo-Earths. Imagine turning this background glow around another star up by say 10x and the pale blue dot getting lost in the glare.

I was so excited about the Somei Yoshino at Odawara today that I offered to take photos underneath the them for 3 elderly couples who were struggling with their phones, one mom & baby with the best toothless smile ever, and 4 obaachans eating ice cream together on a bench. Oh and these are for you.
