I grew up with conservatives telling me the govt would roll the military through our cities, ignoring constitutional rights and we need to be ready to fight them. Now that a conservative government is doing that those same people are silent.

Trying to post more here, it's hard to break old habits. I've been at Magic Con Chicago this weekend. It's a blast. Played tons of games, met nice people, cracked packs, met artists, got cards signed, saw some cool shows live, and even got a new tattoo. Expensive weekend but 10/10 would do again.

I agree that it was a binary choice, that’s why I voted for Democrats. I always do. But the Democratic Party gets endless money and volunteer time to be one of those binary choices. Their base overwhelmingly wanted a less savage approach to Gaza. They said no, and took a terrible risk. We all lost.

This is my favorite picture of Stonewall. They knew they were getting arrested just for being LGBTQ+. Yet... they're still here, standing outside of the boarded up Stonewall Inn, smiling as the world was at a fever pitch of hatred against them. I think about it a lot in moments like this.
