Don't waste your money on fancy tactical gear for protests. Leave the kevlar helmet, plate carrier, MOLLE rig, and ceramics at home unless you're in a jurisdiction where fash tend to shoot people. Better to be mobile and blend in. Plus, cops love to confiscate expensive gear.

You can invest more in protest safety gear but, as someone who's been to probably hundreds of these things, no need to overdo it. A dirtbike jacket with a chest protector if you want, but hide it under a jacket. If you look too "tactical" you get singled out for target practice and arrest.

A cheap leather jacket is "good enough" protection for your torso from most munitions. The only other *must have* protection from impact munitions (and this one surprised people) : WEAR BOOTS, not sneakers. Munitions skip along the ground I've seen people's toes literally explode in sneakers.

A bike or skateboard helmet provides "good enough" protection from impact munitions. Not perfect, but they're cheap and lightweight. WEAR A CUP to protect your private parts. I *never* go to protests without a cup. Cops target your groin more than any other body part.

I've found that with a good elastomeric respirator, I can handle tear gas even without sealed goggles. It sucks, you get red stinging eyes and you might need an occasional rinse but you won't be totally blinded. Tear gas is worse on the breathing than on the eyes. Lacrosse goggles don't fog up.

Don't wear goggles to a protest unless they're rated shatter resistant. You're better off with NO eye protection than eyewear that will send shards of plastic into your eye. If you can't find shatterproof goggles, get lacrosse goggles. Cheap and effective eye protection from larger munitions.

There is a form to write your reps on the website. They would be better to offer tools and training on how to prevent children from accessing adult content. Id verification just opens to the door to more govt tracking and censorship. Not something you want in the current climate.
