The other day I said I wanted to buy an electric car from China. A number of people chastised me for not supporting unions. Call me a cynic, but I can't help but wonder if they posted their opinions on an IPhone.

My garden has become quite lovely. We had tons of volunteer calendula which I have been picking for tea. There are also three cantaloupes, and one tiny watermelon (smaller than my pinky nail). Additionally my lemon grass, kale, corn, & cabbages are doing well. #gardening

It will be interesting to see what 'AI' does to quant social science work. Likely, a giant glut of mediocre studies jamming up a lot of the journals. But qualitative scholarship is unlikely to change much, because 'AI' can only do a cheap synthesis of pre-existing work.
