Every single President since the 1980’s would have been told by knowledgeable generals to avoid a war with Iran at all costs. That Iran had been preparing for asymmetric warfare for decades. That starting a war with Iran would be too costly economically and militarily.

I'm not a military strategist, but as a trained civil engineer it seems that the UAE could do much of the world a big favor by cutting a canal across the Musandam Peninsula that supertankers could pass through in both directions. And the Arab states could co-fund it, to cut all the red tape.
