If you are going with recorded hours on Steam, Fallout: New Vegas remains my most played title at 530hrs+. But... I think The Legend of Dragoon might overtake that with how many times I have replayed that title and saved over old files on 2 memory cards + files on emulators. :x FFX as well!

Now, I've been gaming off & on since the 80s, & there are some old games that I still replay & many games I've racked up 100s of hours in. So it makes perfect(ly no) sense that my answer to this question is Splatoon 3, which came out in 2022. 4355 hours & counting. 😅

Dungeon Meishi. I think there are already a few games in this formula, but I want a dungeon-crawling cooking game with all the characters. This game already kinda makes sense though considering the creator Ryoko Kui was a massive fan of Baldur's Gate and other CRPGs.

Lycoris Recoil as an action/coffe shop management game. Serve guests at Lyco Reco, then go after bad guys as Chisato and Takena. Get the whole voice cast back and give us lots of fun adventures

Rhythm games. Fuser was *so close* to doing something truly unique and transformative for the genre... until Epic acquired Harmonix and turned the promising ideas powering Fuser into mtx-focused Fortnite content.

One of my top comfort shows is definitely Star Trek: Enterprise. For a super quick watch comfort show, The Haunting of Hill House I can get through in one day. Really any Harold Ramis film are my comfort movies though. ☠️ Bedazzled & Ghostbusters are my main go-tos.

Comfort show is The Simpsons. My oldest friends. Movie has to go to Spirited Away. Pure magic no matter how bad my mood is.

Strike Gunner STG. I was around 5. I had just broken my leg & couldn't play outside. So my dad got me a console. He chose the game. Ironic, in a way: he had always been dead set against any glorification of violence & the military, but ended up giving me a vertical shooter of all things. 😅

Uh I believe the Humungus Entertainment games. No idea what one. Probably either Putt-Putt or Freddy Fish.

I was too young to remember. My uncle had an Atari VCS with a bunch of games. It was probably Combat, Pitfall, Air-Sea Battle, or Superman. Superman was the first game I ever "beat", though. That and Adventure.

King's Quest III on the old family IBM PC that was effectively mine because everyone else in the house was scared of it. The first game that completely captivated me, and it turned me into a FREAK for Sierra games. (A Mind Forever Voyaging did the same for me with Infocom soon after.)

I openly admit that Sonic 2 was my first game. My sister had a Genesis and Sonic 1-3 + S&K. She would leave the 2nd controller in because she realized I could play as Tails in the single player mode without affecting her lives. I would play as Tails & Knuckles ALL THE TIME. They still my boys. 🔴🟠 💞

My first two games were Super Mario World and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. So essentially everything has been downhill from there. (JK Kimora)

Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood isn't a great RPG but it does show the RPG formula could DEFINITELY work for the Sonic series, especially if more character skill trees and relationships/side quests were fleshed out!!!

I already mentioned this when I replayed it last year, but Mass Effect Andromeda. I’ll concede that it is the weakest in a series that has a very high bar, and its development woes are notorious. But there is a lot to love in there and I think it was broadly, unfairly panned as “bad.”

Headed home from GDC after an amazing week with @amandafarough.ca, @kjartankennedy.com, @gregwrogers.bsky.social, and @haileyrogers.bsky.social. I’ve done a lot of GDCs, but none was like this. It was an unbelievable week for @causewaystudios.com.

I think I like support the most. Mainly because in other roles, you are playing against the game and it can feel more rinse and repeat. But as support, every battle is different because your party is always doing something crazy. You really have to stay on your toes.

I loooove being support. love it love it. on the rare occasions when I play age of empires with my friends I like to just prop up a peaceful farming village to send resource to my friends while they fight their little wars

Has to be Bloodborne. I was so terrible at it (TERRIBLE) but the world and aestheic was so my jam. I would periodically crack it open about once a year. Make barely any progress but just a little more each time. Getting into Elden Ring finally developed my skills enough to make Bloodborne playable 💖

Outer Wilds, Hades, Dark Souls, and Deus Ex (the original) yeah, I know

Caves of Qud. It took me a while to really get going with it, but now it's one of my favorite games. I was so bad at it. I still am, but I used to be too

Death's Door and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. I like the genres they are but I just couldn't get into them at all. Their combats just didn't feel good, no matter what I tried, and really just made me want to go play games that felt better.

Skyward Sword. I had a lot of issues with the sword mechanics and something about repeating locations and the not light tears mechanic in the like second half really bothered me??? I've also never been able to stick with DA Origins or BG3 to the end.

BG 3, and also Divinity Original Sin. I think Larian might just not be my thing 😂

My go to here is Just Cause 2. I have a save sitting at something like 50% total map completion and, when the world gets too much, I just drop in and tool around blowing shit up with some good tunes or a podcast on in the background. I've tried 3 and 4 but neither capture the magic for some reason
