Hard to pick a MOST anticipated game for this year, but I think I'm going with Resident Evil: Requiem. I've loved Survival Horror and RE in particular since I was young. Ever since RE7, the series has been on an absolute heater, so I'm (heart)pumped for this one.

The Haunting of Joni Evers is still 40% off (under $10!) until Monday!! Need an emotional story about family and perspective? It's a wonderful weekend to play what the latest review said "was amazing, and the graphics and storyline were great."

The Haunting of Joni Evers is a cool $8.99 for the next week, which is virtually the same as a number less than that! (Pricing is a dark art and a mad science, after all!)

Need an indie game for January? Play what one review just called “a really surprising masterpiece” for less than $10! (Not sure why they said “surprising” 😅) Also, Tuesday is the anniversary of the release and I’d be eternally grateful to hear what you thought and who your favorite character was!

I love that we're doing this! With that said, I had a TOUGH time picking my GOTY. But thinking about which game is still sitting with me, it's gotta be Dispatch. The Telltale formula works... IF you ship episodes on a regular cadence. This one hits hard!

We really need to double down on outwardly stating our work does not contain AI. We're seeing it in movie credits and books, we have to start putting it on things we make and pressuring others to label their work as human made, and normalize that as much as we can, I think. stuff like this maybe

Oddly enough, I came to watching Twin Peaks quite late in the game (around 2023), although I'd been aware of it well before. That's something I think is special about Lynch's works: you know about them, even if you've never seen them, as if through the Collective Unconscious described by Jung (1/10)

I adore the Ghost games, but this is frustrating to read. WE, as a game industry, have to do a better job of protecting the talented, creative people that bring miracles, what we call video games, to life. The “angry” minority is brittle. Small and brittle. You can’t cave to that.

I'm seeing a looooot of executives in the past couple of days claiming that players/consumers think regurgitative AI is fine, but I haven't actually seen the players who think that. Smells like desperation.

Specifically the interaction with the cultural fund destroys trust: with players, with government orgs, with communities, and partners. Trust like that isn’t easily rebuilt. If you farm out a cultural touchstone to machines, what are you saying about the people who play your games?
