Fun fact for you horror fans out there: the closure of the PS3/PSP/Vita store means the loss of the only official way to purchase the original Silent Hill.

Idk what it is, but that first moment of leaving the clinic in RE9 and looking outside, and realizing I was looking at the Arklay Mountains for the first time since 2002. Much moreso than revisiting the RPD, it’s the most “you’re home” moment in the whole game for me.

I can’t believe how good RE9 looks on Switch 2. It does have a handful of noticeable little kinks here and there (hair and some frame drops especially), but I mean holy shit. I’d waffled on getting this but now I’m really glad I did.

Today I learned that there was a manga adaption of the 1993 Mario movie. I am overjoyed beyond words.

Obsessed with this little moment of Warden patting Traveler on the shoulder, and her having absolutely no idea how to process it, and later she mimics the same shoulder pat on a dead Traveler, but seems to not completely know how to convey it, only that its a kindness to pass on, even to the dead.

Cronos continues to be extremely interesting. The elegiac energy to exploration and The Traveler’s clear emotional inexperience are making for a very solemn, meditative sort of experience. Also holy shit the Dead Space jump point zero G shit coming back in a game made *last year* is a shock lol

Dawns on me that probably the biggest thing they could do here is link it more concretely to REmake, directly referencing that version of the story as well as using that version of the mansion. It’d hit pretty hard for those of us who played REmake when it was new.

Finally giving Cronos a spin. So far the closest thing I can relate it to is Invader Games’ Resident Evil 2: Reborn fan remake project from around 2015. Very slow and heavy feeling, where single 1v1 encounters feel like a challenge.
