I’m so sick of every single college broadcaster spending their time complaining about how NIL has changed the game. Just comment on the game!

Two of the strongest parts of the
@washingtonpost.com
are its international and sports coverage. They have amazing must-read writers. If they are gutted by Bezos's publisher, it would be one of the most self-destructive acts in American journalism in years. Praying it's not true.

video analysis shows that after agents restrained Alex Jeffrey Pretti & removed his gun from the skirmish, an agent appears to fire 4 shots at Petri. That agent & another then fire 6 more shots at Pretti while he lies motionless on the ground.

Timeline: How the Shooting of Alex Jeffrey Pretti Unfolded (Gift Article)
A moment-by-moment analysis of video from the scene shows that Mr. Pretti was already restrained when fatal shots were fired, which appears to contradict the federal government’s account of the event.

This is an excellent analogy, because my recollection from grade school is that the pen on the right looks fun and exciting, and then you play with it for a few minutes and realize it's not actually useful for anything and in fact makes some tasks more cumbersome, and never think about it again.

The Star Tribune had an insane graphic about the presence of immigration enforcement in Minneapolis. There are more immigration officers in the metro right now than local police officers.

THE TIMES IS UNION-MADE: Today we began bargaining our new contract, and in our first session, we not only told management we were united, we showed them. Our bargaining committee presented a pledge signed by 80% of our union, supporting five core priorities…..

The rule is actually very simple. If he fumbles the ball before reaching the end zone and the angle of incidence is greater than OR EQUAL TO the tangent of an isosceles triangle whose shortest side is half the distance to the goal, and his teammate recovers it in a supine BUT NOT PRONE posture, 1/12

You can't engineer a fully competitive College Football Playoff. The sport just doesn't work like that. It's why organizing the sport around what happens in the CFP is a mistake. You have to keep the regular season and the rivalries alive. That's where the magic is.
