Just got this year's flu shot. When I was younger, I was in a blind panic about syringes and the potential pain they could bring. These days I'm as cool as a swimming pool.

Reading was central to my happiness as a kid. Didn’t grow up in a household with books but had an amazing local library with wonderful librarians, a safe place where I also did arts and crafts and other things I didn’t at home. Libraries should be at heart of any campaign to get more kids reading

Let me share a simple thing that brings me joy! Three weeks ago I made a new playlist: I took one song off each and every album I have on my digital walkman, then I sequenced them as well as I could. I called the playlist ”Album Soup”.

People get tired of you when you repost too much but I saw many good posts today so be it.

The truth is, you’ll never really know how far your kindness travels. Something you said in passing might still be echoing in someone’s mind. A small act that felt routine to you might have meant everything to them. Don’t underestimate the ways you may have made a difference in someone’s life.

From 4th of November 2025 the trams in Helsinki will return to their "normal" routes, after several years of big street works and diversions. For the occasion, HSL publishes a new design of the schematic tram map. It seems a bit odd. And fear not, the street works and diversions continue next year!
