The woman who said she was autistic as ICE dragged out of her car is named Aliya Rahman via this statement: "Masked agents dragged me from my car and bound me like an animal, even after I told them that I was disabled." It happened two blocks from where Jonathan Ross shot Renee Good.

I am begging: Do not learn how to do activism or organizing from social media influencers. Do not join massive unvetted Signal groups promoted by “revolutionary” influencers. If you want to be an activist, you need to be embedded in local community with people you know and trust. I am BEGGING here

Any Democratic votes to fund DHS later this month as Minneapolis is being terrorized by DHS is going to be a major slap in the face to Americans living here. Demand major reforms or shut the government down.

For those asking why I am asking about ICE funding NOW, the government runs out of money this month and Congress has yet to pass the Homeland Security bill. ICE won’t be abolished, but Democrats can hold up the bill

I'll say this very clearly right now - if any member of congress tries to "sell" us on an increase for DHS funding because it's going to include more for training, that's a load of bullshit and we won't be having it.

The problem with ICE is not insufficient training or even training content. It’s creating an agency where you give people guns and tell them to terrorize Brown people and then recruit people excited to do that.

The closing of the CP and the PG aren't just like, a bummer, or like a regular fuck-the-Blocks moment. It's a drastic reduction in citizens' ability to stay informed and hold our local government accountable, which in today's political environment will have consequences that make my head spin.

It's good to use the resources at hand to fight because sometimes you win. Also, I keep thinking of the period after this man was killed and how a group of people tried to impose a new social reality. It didn't work. This too is a lesson.
