I keep thinking about this because I see it like every other time I scroll I think the best advice I heard is practice, have fun, get better, and style/brand will come with time. You'll just find what you like at some point. Go, experiment, fail, succeed, learn and discover yourself

Advice from an older artist; Numbers are NOT important. Being famous is NOT important. Being on the front page is NOT IMPORTANT. What IS important is how much fun you're having and how much joy what you're doing brings YOU. Love what you do and others will take notice :)

I've seen all these videos on YT give socmed tips to artists that ultimately give the collective message that "your art isn't enough, do x y z" I may be a small artist, but I've been an artist all my life and having to adhere to quick socmed tips honestly makes me want to throw up ( ω-、)

My wish for young artists is that someday they will never again feel compelled to utter the word "brand" with regard to their body of work.

Being anti-censorship doesn't mean you have to consume or pretend to like content that isn't for you. Censorship is *systemic* blocking. You're still allowed to *personally* avoid and block any kind of stuff you don't vibe with, for any reason, and you don't owe an explanation for it.
