I cannot, during these horrific times, recommend enough the importance of making pockets of time to just do things that are not related to anything but the joy of being alive and playing. You need it. You do. It will keep you whole. Which we need. We need you whole.

This has been on the cards ever since Trump got back into power, but I didn't realise they still owed the WHO $260,000,000 and they're just walking out, just like that.

This is why as a Humanist I'm not an anti-theist. If the goal is to promote human flourishing, and these folk prefer religion as the framework to do so, I'm not just for it, I'll do what I can to protect it.

I remember perfectly clearly a time when there was no DHS. That, too, needs to be dismantled and everyone who used it as a vehicle for human rights abuses legally and socially responsible. And everyone who did the same or similar things elsewhere, including here in the UK, too.

Hey everybody--Hickenlooper just sent out a thing he's anti-funding ICE. So if you know anything about Colorado politics or Hickenlooper, we're pushing the needle and ICE is losing. Keep pushing the rock.

Part of this is that thanks to the specific Christianity that evolved in the US over the 20th Century -- which then permeated culture -- is that many Americans are unable to effectively differentiate between shame, guilt, and responsibility.

The double cognitive load of a) the President is deranged, and nobody in power acting he's deranged is stressful, and b) there are millions of Americans who get their news from media sanewashing the President, so they don't *know* he's deranged, so they think *we're* deranged, is ... fun.

US short titles of legislation are at best ludicrous. However, last year's TAKE IT DOWN Act has provided us with something we never knew we wanted: an act whose short title is longer (by one character) than its long title.

When Trump dies we get Vance. Thielās pet. They'll blame a lot of stuff on Trump AND try to fast-track an even uglier white supremacist techno-Christofascism. We must prept for this now & organize accordingly. Grassroots activism, coalitions. Dissent. Sand in gears. Strikes. Every angle.

Farage is claiming Trump has 'vetoed' the Chagos Islands deal. I hope it's clear that no-one who believes that any US president, but especially this one, can unilaterally 'veto' the UK government should be allowed anywhere near political power.

It was like this with the child abductions and detention camps at the border during Trump's first term, too. There should have been a thorough dismantling, restitution, and legal action. The fact that there wasn't is a part of why people doubt the Dems' will to fix it this time.

Anyone who still expects Kier Starmer to do good in government based on his earlier career as a human rights lawyer would do well to note that Vidkun Quisling first came to prominence in supporting the humanitarian work of Fridtjof Nansen.

Some people say Keir Starmer has been dealt a bad hand. We're still in January and he's already signed a defence deal with Palantir - knowing full well how unpredictable and dangerous the US President is. We're way past the point of giving pleading appeasement speeches.

Keir Starmer did everything he could to be US poodle and his strategy has ended in total humiliation. Both him and Farage are puppets of a hostile foreign nation. It's obvious that if someone is a bully - you don't just keep appeasing them. Disastrous strategy by Labour.

Saying "what they want is violence, don't give it to them," is not only an incorrect assessmentāfascist state agents are unleashing violence upon our communities daily, the peoples' response is not incitementābut further accuses the very people resisting fascism of its cause. A sick perversion.

"average centrist party neither left nor right" actually just statistical error. average centrist party continually moves to right but never to left. centrist georg, who actually tries to remain in centre regardless of where average is, is an outlier adn [sic] should not have been counted.
