folks if you would kindly lift up some good thoughts, prayers, pleas to whoever will listen I'd appreciate it. My mom's not doing so well. She's got to go for surgery on Monday and she is in a lot of pain. I don't think I've ever seen her in this much pain before in my life.

This is a lesson that I learned at the knee of my grandfather when I was about 5 years old. And it was brutal. Basically, I stopped a bully from hurting another kid. Then my grandfather made me beat the bully bloody. Then he explained the only thing a bully understands is violence. He was right.
