I was curious if the 'MaruPaint' program in 16-bit Sensation was referring to an actual one used. After a little digging and firing up Neko Project II, it seems it's a homage to this one: Multi System Paint, a commercial version of Tuna Paint for PC-98. Here's one of the sample images with it.

I saw Sonic the Hedgehog on opening night and the theater was packed with rowdy kids (ages ranging from elementary to high school students). The audience would shout and react VERY INTENSELY to pretty much every scene with Sonic in it.

A dumb thing that I find annoying: The Sega CD was created to have hardware-level sprite scaling, but Sega never ported any of their super scaler games to the platform! I wish there was Sega CD OutRun or Space Harrier.
