Sometimes you've been sketching away at a pose all morning, feeling really smart with the concept. Then you realise you've kinda been referencing the album art for In Utero the whole time without realising it.

I'm far too self conscious to post "draw this in your style" prompts. I'm kinda in awe of artists who just throw those out there. More so when they get responses.

As someone with clients mostly in the ad industry (it sucks), never forget that branding everything as AI is just that. BRANDING. The algorithms that predict storms, and cancers and optimise alternative energy? They are not the same as the LLM's or diffusion models Silicon Valley are foisting on us.

With the US having an oversized footprint here (and in English speaking online culture in general) it's a real ride this last week.

We watched a bunch of Zagreb animation during my History of Animation course, and I think it was partially because my lecturer was Serbian. He instilled a real love of the style in us, but at the cost of looking a lot like the guy in the fly animation previewed here 😂
