i absolutely think we need to drastically reduce the role of $ in our politics. at the same time i also think that a ton of people on the left blame $ in politics because confronting the fact that a lot of voters simply have wrong or bad ideas is uncomfortable and daunting.

Trump was LITERALLY on the way to a long prison term, when voters voted to let him off with zero repercussions. Nobody who failed to vote for the DA/AG gets to complain about Trump getting off from all his convictions. THEY are the ones that let him off the hook.

All those people demanding Trump be put in prison don't seem to grasp that he was heading there until November 2024. He was convicted, and about to be sentenced when these same people refused to vote for Harris. And then he became President, and everything just went away. Consequences.
