Platner was recruited by professional political consultants who were the progeny of Bernie Sanders political operation. Platner's campaign is AstroTurf largely controlled out of state.

the media coverage of Platner has largely been extremely favorable to him/gullible about his claims and that his multiple red flags are finally becoming a proper story is not a sign that they're biased against him, but that they're doing reporting.

Probably no need for journalists to do any follow up reporting when a soon-to-be 80-year-old President's medical report is released at 11 pm on a Friday night. It's not like he falls asleep in public routinely, has weird bruising on both hands, and goes off on random non-sequiturs. 🙄

tom steyer sucks. You know he sucks. Those people claiming he doesn't suck know he sucks. Even he knows he sucks. Defending him at this point as a "leftist" or "progressive" is some mixed up shit and shows you have ZERO principles. Defending him IRREFUTABLY PROVES THIS. No discussion needed. Thanks.

There are five races, maybe six, that I'd say are probably more Democratic leaning than Texas. Talarico is Dem senator number 52 or 53 imho, he isn't necessary for the majority. Going all in on the attention economy and financially in THAT race is a terrible idea.

A big deal Tuesday: GOP is looking to flip the board of one of California's Orange County. Dems must defend all 3 of their seats this year, & there's a good chance one of the races gets decided on Tuesday since there are few enough candidates someone could get 50%. One of my big races to watch:

Johnny Garcia has defeated Maureen Galindo in the Dem primary in TX-35. This is the Dem primary the right heavily invested in to try to boost Galindo to the nomination (while attacking her). TX35 has been drawn by the GOP to be red but Dems hope Garcia can score an upset this fall.

Here's the thing about Ken Paxton: if he's elected in November, there will genuinely be zero difference in how he votes than how Cornyn would have voted in another term. Zero point zero percent difference. The only difference will be that Paxton is a worse fundraiser, and that's good for us!
