It does not matter how bad or illegitimate Maduro is or may be - we have universal laws and procedures in place in an effort to protect EVERYONE. If we allow them to simply be ignored when they’re inconvenient then that puts everyone in danger and undermines the entire system.

One of the reasons WW2 happened was the League of Nations just kept allowing Nazi Germany to push and push against laws and norms with barely any resistance. I fear the capitulation to the US by the world is taking us down the same path. DRAW A FUCKING LINE. WE HAVE INTERNATIONAL LAW FOR A REASON.

The UN and organisations like the ICC exist to provide a framework for the world to handle people like Maduro in democratic and legal ways. These exist so individual countries and leaders abide by shared rules and cant just act unilaterally and aggressively without consequence.
