I'm always so relieved when better cycling weather arrives. Today I ran three errands downtown (4km round trip) and was back home in 34 minutes. It would have taken me that long to find parking.

I’m going to add, because I can’t not, that Strasbourg is based on a settlement dating to *12 AD* and is fine having trams in the old city while Brampton was fretting about having them in its 20th-century “historic downtown“

I guess it's appropriate that our contemporary nazis also abuse stimulants? "He booms, pacing back and forth, bouncing from conspiracy to conspiracy. He also seems to be constantly moving the lower half of his mouth."

Between this and the whole "the hottest food of 2026 is beans" argument, it really seems like the corporate media is working overtime to manufacture consent and propagandize poverty ahead of everyone but the 1% losing their shirts.

Let's call this policy what this is. It's socialism. It's Leftism. And it's curing actual ills. Righting institutional wrongs. It's not coming from someone who is infallible, or someone who is always correct. It's coming from someone who promised to help and is trying to keep those promises.

I think a lot of podcasters in this vein should be interpreted as “reactionary” in the most literal sense that they are extremely vacuous and form their politics by following trends of resentment against whatever they see on social media

This is why these forms of sexual harassment and abuse at scale work to reinforce men’s dominance. If the woman’s “best” option is to quit, then this pattern of behavior can and IS used to keep women out of certain industries and positions of power and spheres of influence.

You have more in common with the people of Iran than you do with anyone in this administration, any member of the technocracy, anyone who is profiting from this war, or any billionaire. When you see Iranians forming human chains outside key infrastructure sites, you should feel a sense of kinship.

I've played sports all my life. I play hockey that's reserved for women and trans people and it's fine and fun because everyone's chill and treats each other with respect. It's the weird shutins who never interact with trans people OR sports that want to ban them.
