I've been saying for years you can't protect yourself from the illiterate. many comic artists tell me their anxieties about feeling like they failed if their audience doesn't understand their story and I tell them they'll have an easier time by assuming their audience is failing them by not reading.

Heads up if you subscribe to Wired, I just went through a whole rigmarole where they auto renewed my subscription for $80 when my receipt and their website says an annual subscription costs $30, and then gave me the runaround to convince me that the subscription is actually $80.

I talked with them via chat and they tried to do everything they could to get me to believe the sub was actually $80, and only when I said I’d do a chargeback did they change their tune.
