2010s Tomb Raider trilogy is right up there with the Sniper Elite games for some of my favorite of the decade 3rd person actioners. The trilogy does get repetitive, but Lara's increasingly driven, principled, and vengeful attitude felt (and still feels) fresh as hell

2013 Tomb Raider was a blast because I chose to play the game exclusively with flaming arrows and by shooting guys in the dick because I figured out they would fall over and grab their nuts and the animation took so long they burned to death screaming every time. Great game. Tonally weird.

Got up at 5:30am, took the Eurostar from Paris to London, walked to Islington and spent six magical hours surrounded by noise and good cheer before the good part. I'm back in Paris now but will remember this for a long time. Glad you're in town too.
