Just want to be clear that when RFK Jr. said in the hearing today that he is “overhauling” the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force, it is because this administration wants to reduce the number of services that health insurance companies are required to cover.

“The pope should be careful before talking theology” is just extraordinary stuff. Top-shelf. You write one book that gets turned into a Ron Howard movie and suddenly you’re nailing your manifesto to the cathedral doors.

We kind of have to. Barring a Constitutional amendment, the U.S. will always be a two-party state. The presidency is too powerful, and to be president a candidate has to win a majority of EVs. Failing that, the House chooses the president, each state getting one vote. Only the GOP wins that.

Impeach everyone who is accused in the Epstein files. (If they maintain their innocence, they can present their evidence to the Senate.)

This is probably an unpopular opinion but the thing about rumor mills is that they tend to be very light on specifics, and there's a lot of space on the 'oh yeah he's kind of a creep' spectrum well below 'rape'.

This is scary... A Florida doctor tried to persuade colleagues in the operating room that the liver he removed from a 70 yo patient was a spleen. The patient died on the operating table, and now the doctor's been charged with manslaughter... 15 years in prison if convicted.

Resident Evil Requiem insanity mode is a mode for sickos. It's for people who like playing games where you plan out and redo segments over and over trying to get a slightly better run each time. "Well, if I do this, then maybe I'll be able to save a bit of ammo here..." I'm one of those sickos.

Ukraine becoming the world’s most effective military under Zelensky’s leadership — while the historically powerful US Armed Forces has its reputation decimated by Donald Trump — is exactly what this nation deserves for voters disrespecting it so much they twice gave Trump the White House.

I think there are plenty of theological-oriented reasons to find the Trump as Christ images offensive. But, I think there’s also a real secular concern about the judgment and stability of a man who earnestly compares himself to God.

Thus, today's election is not really the end of an authoritarian regime. Rather, it is the first step in a much longer unwinding process. It is massive and absolutely necessary first step — one that anyone who believes in democracy should celebrate. But it's more a beginning than an end.
