I'm 32. When I was a kid and it came out I was bi, there were people saying they weren't comfortable with me using the bathrooms. The bullying that comes with being assumed to be a danger to those around you, people acting as if your an unnatural freak of nature hurts your soul like nothing else.

This has come up a few times in multiple contexts so I want to put it out there: When we're triggered, we need to check in with ourselves that it's not fragility around having acted harmfully. Our nervous systems react strongly to this and it can be mistaken for being harmed.
