I've recently developed a plethora of bad anxieties around tech and, while it's something I'm working on, it did mean when a hard drive failed last week everything on it was already backed up, multiple times, on different drives. Great for my data, bad for my tech anxieties

Tonight on stream we'll be taking a break from making dark cave music and having a chill evening making some sounds from scratch. I've been playing around with glitch/sample-based music so expect some crunchy audio nonsense 8pm UK/3pm Eastern

I would quietly suggest this is one of our best episodes. The research and careful analysis that went into this is a shining example of what I think WTT does really well...and of course I went and threw a grab bag of deeply silly noises all over it too

ELECTROCHEMISTRY - Showing up to work on time is *hard* -- no, scratch that, showing up to work *at all* is difficult.

Every game of The Deepest Dark ends with the question, "was it worth it?" So far, I've always had at least one PC say it wasn't. I thought that would make me panic. I want the characters to feel fulfilled. But reflecting on why, and what could have made it worth it, seems to be enough (8/12)

One of my favourite playtest reactions was @edjollyboat.bsky.social texting me a day after his character had not felt it was worth it to go on this doomed expedition to say that he'd been outside and he'd thought, "it was worth it" after all. That's how I want this game to make people feel (9/12)
