mensfeld.pl/2025/09/ruby... It's buried in here, but here's the real problem with what Ruby Central did. And based on my understanding, Marty, and by extension, Ruby Central, knew these repositories didn't belong to them, but took them anyways.

implying that the existence of `rv` would mean the existing maintainers of RubyGems would "sabotage" rubygems.org or Bundler was not okay in my opinion and was way out of line. It seemed more like an old personal issue with the RubyGems maintainers given the context. bsky.app/profile/rmfr...

Comeon @fastruby.io, this is arguably misleading of the situation. It continues to conflate Rubygems.org & the original repo as the same thing. It also leads headline scanners to think that Ruby Central was within their legal right to make the changes they made on Github; which is false.

Joel did an amazing amount of investigative work to put together the most accurate representation of this situation that I’m aware of. I stand by everything that I’m able to vouch for. I don’t have anything else to add. Thank you for your effort here @joel.drapper.me
